We ordered windows to replace our single-paned windows in the spring of 2021. They were installed in December 2021 (the subcontracted installation crew was great). THE INSTALL CREW TOLD US THAT WE MUST PAY THE FINAL AMOUNT WHEN THEY FINISHED! (No retention was allowed even though the windows had not had a final inspection by NSW and had not been approved by the Code Official, and the final trim pieces had not been installed.) We paid - reluctantly. Then we discovered that one of the picture windows had been scratched and their technicians came to the house and said it must be replaced. We waited, and waited, and waited. The orders kept being delayed or damaged. Finally a new window was delivered in the spring of 2022, but it was scratched in the exact location of the first window. We sent it back. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. All during this time, there was virtually no communication with NSW except when we called them for an update. In June of 2021 a technician came to the house to perform a 'Virtual Inspection' with the Code Official. The windows passed. But as the technician was on a ladder trying to install trim, he overblanced and sliced his wrist and eventually had to be Life Flighted to a Trauma Center. The trim remained uninstalled. Since then I have been on the phone multiple times with NSW trying to arrange the trim installation and window cleaning to no avail. The work keeps getting postponed. Twice we have been told they were coming and no one arrived at the house. To make matter worse, we had to call to discover that some problem or other had delayed or prevented them from coming. NO ONE from NSW called. It's now been nearly a year with inspection tags on the windows and no trim installed. In 35 years as a construction manager I have never experienced a similar problem. The management of this company in a word - SUCKS! I would never recommend them to anyone.

New South Windows entire Team are the BEST when it come to professional service and customer care. They go above and beyond the expectations. All I can say, I am an extremely satisfied customer and I will highly recommend New South Windows to others. Which, I had other choices. However, I know I made the right choice. NSW is #1. Thank you!!

New South Windows: I am so far very pleased with the product, the service. 12 windows replaced throughout my house due to seal failure. When Mr. Haas came to my home for an estimate, I was not sure I would sign up. I was leary as the last window company I used went out of business. Mr. Haas walked through out my house (which at the time was empty as we were preparing to move back in after a renovation) and let me ask questions. After much back and forth, we decided to go with New South Windows. Now on install day, the crew shows up finally at 11:20. A little late but in my humble opinion, worth the wait. the Crew was very professional even that only Labib spoke English well enough for me to converse. They were all professional, the went to work, and most important off all THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THE WORK WAS DOWN AND EVEN OFFERED TO HELP ME PUT UP MY SHUTTERS UNTIL I COULD GET MY WINDOWS INSPECTED AND WINDOW TREATMENTS BACK IN PLACE. That was AWESOME. PatriciaJM, merritt island, fl. update: communications are abysmal, I called shortly after the windows were installed and told them the inspections was done but due to covid , informed them I would call and schedule finishing work to be done when I am well and my house is sanitized. did just that and we had scheduled for 8-24-22, well they did call and have to reschedule for today 8-27-22. They promised to call on the 26th with a time frame. Well, canceled all my activities for today so I would be here when they needed to come. Had to call today 8-27-22 at 11:25 am and was told they would be here between 11 am and 1pm today 8-27-22. At 1:44pm called again and was told that the tech Marcus was on his way and would be here shortly. Called again at 2:58pm and was promised that they would call dispatch and have them call me when the TECH was on his way. ONCE again waiting on others!!!!! Will edit my post when and if we get this resolved so I can put my house back together. UPDATE: New South Windows has since been out to finish the trim work on the windows and YES they fixed my screens that were out of square and now when weather permits I can open windows with great confidence. THEN a short time later the salesman, RH came by to walk through and to make sure I was happy. End of the saga: I am happy with my window and I would highly recommend this company.

On the top window sash, you will see 2 sliders on the edges. First, unlock the windows. The inner 2 clips. Now, slide the window down slowly as you pull the 2 outer sliders in. When the window slides down a few inches, it will tilt out. Be sure to be holding the window. Once you've done it again, you will see how easy it is. To close up, just do the opposite.
