I went on a Thursday night. There were different stations with music as you walk and some small food stations and food trucks. It was quiet. All very well.

Gorgeous view of the St John’s River and over downtown Jacksonville. I was a little disheartened to see a little bit of trash floating in the water. It’s a shame people can’t just throw their trash in a garbage can. Overall it was a fantastic view and makes for a nice walk down the river.

There is a side walk on the main Street bridge and you can access the river walk on the Southside at Friendship Park

The river walk itself is free but nearby parking may cost a small amount.
It has many dark spots I don't think it's a safe place for any single person. Move in groups or stay near a well lit area that is a quick dash away
