I called ubreakifix last week to ask if they could fix a cracked screen on my samsung galaxy s8. They told me that samsung had discontinued the s8 and they could not get parts, so they wouldn't be able to do anything. I ordered my own screen replacement kit online, and when it arrived a few days ago I called ubreakifix back and asked if they would be able to fix my screen if I provided the kit -- I have no experience fixing phones and figured I'd check in with them before I risked doing it myself. After a long hold they told me that if I brought the materials they could fix it, but there wouldn't be a warranty. But when I brought my phone to them today, I was told that they could not fix my phone after all. They were licensed with samsung and could only use parts they ordered from samsung. This despite telling me days before that they COULD and that samsung didn't even have the parts needed. The lack of communication between staff and the misinformation to customers has turned me away for good. I managed to fix my phone myself, and I didn't need to waste all that time playing phone tag with them. I will not be back.

Went in with a dead screen that occurred after it fell off in a hot car. I asked that they open my tablet up to see if the connection was loose and help re-glue the screen in place. They peeked in, but apparently not enough to see how simple it was. Staff was nice, but suggested a new display for my tablet even though it was merely disconnected. I took the screen off and reconnected at home myself, but will be finding another company to help re-glue. Their solution was a $350 part that wasn't broken. Glad I wasted a drive across town to get a lazy answer.
