The Frederick Senior Center offers so much for a wide spectrum of interests. They offer exercise, games, crafts, educational, meals, clubs, and travel just to mention some of the fields of interest. With Covid, they transitioned to an amazingly wide variety of zoom options, not skipping a beat. The people at Frederick Senior Center deserve a pat on the back for all they do and offer. Each month is jam-packed with options. One can never get bored or lonely at the Frederick Senior Center.

I love the Senior Center. The first Friday of every month they hand out food for qualified seniors. Always helpful. They have a calendar full of classes of all kinds. Dept. Of Aging has a bus to take you there if you live within the 3 mile radius. You can eat lunch, take classes, some trips. Just register and interview with them. They will let you know what services are available to you! Meal on wheels also! A great bunch of people!! Nothing to lose, but much to gain!

Amtrak would get you to DC or Baltimore. From Baltimore, I think there is a bus to downtown Frederick. From DC, i think you would have to take the metro to Shady Grove then maybe a bus, don't know. There may be a MARC train from DC to Germantown, don't know.

There is no fee for membership. It is a great place to go for friendship and entertainment and health.
