The social services in Yonkers in the worst. My caseworker does not follow up with me, regarding my case, so I have no idea what’s happening or if I’m missing any documents anything. When I call the Westchester office they constantly say they will have a supervisor contact me & never do. It has been my 3rd time trying to get a supervisor and I don’t get any calls regarding my inquiry or complaints. I spent the last 2 months resubmitting the same exact paperworks which I have brought in on-site & have uploaded through the Docusubmit app. I made an appointment for 11am and was finally seen 11:45am, From what I am hearing from others waiting on the line & actual homeless, struggling folks things aren’t really seamless with others either. However I had a uncle that came from another country and got everything he needed within 1-3 weeks. I don’t know if it’s collective issue or caseworker issue.

You have to go there and, apply in person with your dl, ss and, birth certificate. Then you'll find out after a month or so. If you have benefits already call the 1800 number on back of your card and, follow the prompts.

Yes, as stated depends on your situation.... make sure you have documents such as social security card, pay stubs, ledger for rent owed, id, copy of lease, and any notices you've received about your rent.

Everything is on hold except snap, which they are giving out early (food stamps) for February.
You tell them your new address and they move your services with you. Depending on that county your benefits will increase or decrease or minor changes but they will let you know

If you need a written paper from where you live and who is paying rent even if you are from an aunt or uncle or friends so that you can have money for the rent, you can also use it for food and audacity for rent.
