I hired Melissa for my final hearing for divorce. During the consultation she yawned more than 30 times, no exaggeration. The day of the divorce hearing she had a private meeting with my now ex-husband's attorney. when it was time to meet in front of the judge she did not speak up for me or fight for me at all. She hardly said a word. And when I went to say something she tapped me on the leg to hush up. Her incompetence literally ruined my life. I struggled trying to raise three kids by myself. She also did not complete the pension paperwork. 6 years later I am still struggling to fix what she messed up. I do not recommend this law firm. It should have been a sign during the consultation that she was not interested in anything more than the $2,500 retainer I paid up front for a 15 minute hearing. Do your research , read reviews and have multiple consultations with multiple attorneys.

I would not ever use them for a dui case. They will only ask the prosecutors nicely to help you to no avail. I was told motions had been filed that had indeed were not. The Prosecutors will not help you at all. I feel no need to talk to this law firm any longer since the case is done and over, but I can assure you I was a client and I do not use my personal name for online post. Sorry

I want to know if this is double jeopardymisdemeanorI was charged with petty theft went to court all the way to trial, when I was called before the judge the prosecutor said that they was dropping the charges and refiling the same charge as a felony?

If the trial was not commenced and conducted, then it is not double jeopardy. The state has to power to upmand at any point unless the trial was held...i.e. jury was there and witnesses testified.
