Opila was the in-house doctor at Gardens of Scottsdale, a senior home, caring for my 90-year-old father for several years. Until 2014. Dad was incapacitated & in skilled-nursing. Living in DC, I visited my dad every three months or so. Opila had been treating a "sore" on Dad's calf for six weeks. It was always "getting better." Arriving for a visit, I saw a painful, open, infected wound. After an immediate visit with Dad's former physician, Dad was at Good Sam's burn & wound center a day later. Within a week, the sore was well on it's way to healing. Opila was banned from ever seeing my father again. Other than Opila, the staff at Gardens were wonderful.
