Entered bookstore hoping to find a recent book from a conservative author for my father's 80th birthday. I had a few in mind, but any book written by a conservative author would suffice! Literally wandered around for ten minutes and every …Hi Brennan, you are correct. After the election, I marked ALL the political books down 75% off, unless it is on a current Top 10 bestseller list, addresses a current situation OR continues to sell. And I won't be replacing political books that don't sell at regular price, red or blue. In my social science section, we DO carry conservative authors: Levin, Beck, Shapiro, Horowitz, O'Reilly. Books/Authors are selected on their ability to sell. My store is 2500 sf. If a book doesn't turn, I don't have space for it. I have displays throughout my store on inclusion, diversity, girl power and kindness. My family is conservative and I don't believe they are 'crazed' or 'haters'. I didn't realize my store sent that message; it is not the message I want to send. Sometimes we are working alone and can't greet everyone right away.
