Golden Gate Truck Stop

From the street this place always looked like it had its act together. Nope. Went in for a restroom break and see about some sandwiches for the road. One restroom had a very old “Closed for Cleaning” sign on it, the other 2 were locked. There are 4 Porta-Potties out back. I guess that’s they roll for customer service when it’s 104°F outside. OBTW, the rest of place filthy, and had a very odd odor. No Port of Subs for me today, thank you.

On the road again you can't be to Golden gate truck stop for the service great prices on petrol great things inside anything you can imagine possible to snack on eat drink oil everything bathrooms great service what more can I say about all these great places absolutely delightfully wonderful.max.

The gas price was higher here than I saw at one or two other stations in Hawthorne. However, I found a spigot behind the convenience store where I was able to fill my water containers...this is a HUGE benefit in the desert. I am constantly searching for places I can get water. I would return to this station despite the higher gas price because of that.

Really nice truck stop. Lots of truck parking nice easy in an easy out when you stop and get fuel. Now the fuel prices were really high but then again you know look where you're at. Good showers good friendly people nice repair garage if …
