We were sent here by my daughters pediatrician to get an ultrasound of her hips. I was informed upon arrival (after my husband took off work and we drove an hour to get there) that since medicaid is still pending my daughters approval we would have to pay up front out of pocket with no option to set up a payment plan or bill me so I could send in the claim once she is approved or put on market place insurance. We had to leave without the ultrasound for our newborn daughter and the woman I spoke to was rude and unsympathetic to our situation and then took over 15 minutes to “find the price” after we had already been waiting in the lobby for 20 minutes past her appointment time. Very frustrating experience.

Thanks to Terry at the reception desk for arranging for a scan when I arrived an hour too early. She is pleasant, professional and goes the extra mile. And thank you to Kathy, the technician who took me ahead of time. She is professional and listened to my concerns with patience and empathy. Great visit!

I had my regular mammogram screening done at my usual place, also Advent Health, but in Palm Coast. They found an issue and I needed a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. My usual place was booked up for nearly 2 months out, so I went to Ormond. My yearly pap is coming up and the doc prefers all testing be done before you see him, which I understand. So I went to Ormond as they only had about a week wait. Next time, I’ll just push the doc appt out and go to my usual place. Rudeness seems to be the common factor for the front desk staff. The check in woman is literally complaining bc everyone came early. Um, when we book the appt, they tell us to come 30 mins early. I’ll assume that is supposed to benefit the staff, because it has no benefit for us, the patients. My turn to check in. She tells me I have $42 co-insurance. I say no I do not, I reached my out of pocket max 2 months ago and that’s the truth. She said ok. I sit down. Another person had similar issue. The lady checking us in starts talking to do-workers “eventually we will go to self pay only so we actually get paid”. I spoke up. “If I owe you the $42 I will pay it when you bill me. I have a hard enough time getting reimbursed from my insurance when I do over pay. I’m not even trying that with Imaging office when I know I’m at my max out of pocket.” Very unprofessional for her to be saying these things loud enough that everyone can hear them. What ever happened to billing insurance and then me? Look in your computer. Paid every time I owe something. I’m not Pre-paying when I know I don’t owe a dime. I’m not chasing you down for a reimbursement bc I know it won’t come. I have been burnt a few times by paying up front. Never have I ever received a refund. The other staff -the imaging tech, ultrasound tech were absolutely wonderful. Kind. Patient as I was nervous and tense. I do wonder if the doc even looked at my ultrasound bc the tech was gone for literally 30 seconds and came back to say “doc said it’s nothing”. Did he really look at it?? Or bc I didn’t pay, they won’t look?? I’ll be having my actual doc look into this. I would avoid this location unless you have no other alternative. Front staff has an attitude and talk loudly about patients for all to hear.

Yes but currently the Pet Scan is getting replaced with a new unit so they are doing all of the pet scans down the road at the main hospital. AdventHealth Daytona Beach.
Also, they will have you sit in your car until they are ready for you. The open at 7 am.
