Absolute horrible service. Continued to charge me after I had shut off my water for a deployment. And then when I do try to pay my bill the website never cooperates and they don't answer the phone.

My initial contact was not too great. I had just moved here on my own back in 2018 and I was new to this whole having to put utilities in my name as the previous apartment complex had utilities included. The representative did not make this process easy or a great experience for me. Depending on your credit score, you may have to pay up to a $150 deposit so count on at least spending that much to turn your water on. This place lacks in communication with their customers. I had emailed them the form to disconnect the water two days prior to be shut off and I didn’t get a response that they received it. I called the day of shut off and they confirmed they received it. I just wish they would have responded to my email so I didn’t have to call and find out. When I called I was told I had a final bill of $15 and if I wanted to pay that to avoid any late fees. It states on the form that the final bill will be deducted from the security deposit and the remainder will be mailed to you 6-8 weeks after the disconnection date. My final bill was actually more than I was told when I received that last statement and I wish they would have given me the exact amount as I was expecting a different refund amount. I received the check one month after the shut off date. Then I received an email for a bill for that apartment but it was addressed to the apartment complex. For whatever reason they still have my email address associated with the apartment so I replied asking them to remove the email off their file and to also let me know that it’s been taken care of as I don’t want to receive another bill emailed to me that doesn’t belong to me. One month later, still no response but they sent me another bill that was supposed to be for the apartment complex. If the people of Spring Lake had anywhere else to go for their water, I bet they would change how they run this department.
