I had a fantastic experience with the Life Storage on Petty Rd in Durham for my short term storage needs. The online system was super easy to use, both for initial set up and monthly payments. The unit itself and the facilities in general are very clean and well maintained. Ryan, the customer service associate, was incredibly friendly, competent, and easy to work with. He walked me comfortably through both getting the unit, and vacating it two months later, making the whole experience easy, pleasant, and straightforward. Moving was hard; this wasn't. Highly recommend.

For months I have been having issues with making a payment using the online portal. I either have to physically go to the store during business hours or pay an additional $4.95 to pay over the phone. I have tried to reach out to Life Storage and it's clear they don't really care. For the most part the customer service personnel act like I'm the only one having an issue with the website! And I don't believe that for a second. Why won't LifeStorage deal with this issue!?! I like the Storage facility just fine, but both the website and online support need improvement.

Most of our facilities have an electronic gate system that can only be opened by a code that is assigned to each individual tenant.

Additionally, we offer the convenience of AutoPay, which will automatically charge your Mastercard, Discover, Visa, or American Express each month without additional fees. You can also call our secure, automated payment line.
Many of our stores offer attractive discounts and promotions on renting a storage unit, including percentages off and first month free. We also offer additional discounts via our referral program. You can view our current promotions by visiting our website.
Typically you may see one increase per year and would be notified 30 days prior via USPS mail.
