I was the RP for a person down, fallen out of his wheelchair downtown, he needed help. The ambulance couldn't help because he pushed them away. But the firemen took a extra moment to speak with him and get his shorts back on help him back into his wheelchair. Thank you for your service. You matter. Made a difference when nobody cared.

Even when you give them an address, they are extremely hesitant to come out. I always have to play 50 questions with the operator while there is a fire building. We always have trouble with people across the street in an alleyway lighting off fireworks starting in May each year. In fact, we just called the fire department and instead of coming out when we told them that there were aerial fireworks and very loud booms and bright flashes going off, the person on the other end said she couldn't send anyone without an actual numbered address... So, when someone's house catches fire, I guess they'll come out then? That's a little late. My mother is a heart attack survivor, and I beyond at the end of my tether with this outfit. My house almost caught fire last year because of fireworks that went off at a neighbor's house behind us, no one even sent anyone to make sure my neighbors-who were closest to where the fire broke out -were okay. The operator basically hung up with me didn't even really tell me if they were here yet despite my asking several times. Good luck with fireworks, folks. Oh and that lovely thing on their website where you can report fireworks... That doesn't work. I filled out several before the fire even started and no one ever came out to investigate.

THANK You to which ever Firefighters who responded quickly to the house fire on Blaze Ave early this morning. I live behind the house on Navajo Ave & was calling neighbors to Alert them. It really was sooo scary!! I put my 2 doggies & other important items in my car & was ready to evacuate. My husband is a Truck Driver & had left about 15 minutes before explosion & the house shook. I'm 64 & been through a fire before. Wow! I commend all you Firefighters for caring so much just so much admiration for you all. THANK YOU 😊
