I first discovered Blindwood Cider at the Northern California Renaissance Faire - from the first sip of Honey Sage I was pleasantly surprised! Ciders usually strike me as too sour, too sweet, or way too punchy, however, this blend of local California honey, sage, and hand picked apples is the perfect flavor pallet of dry, fruity, and herbal. Their ginger peppercorn is equally as delicious! I was so impressed I ordered a case from their location in San Leandro. As a family owned business, they are very attentive and kept me updated every step of the way. Erin and Drew are extremely friendly and very helpful, and Drew even dropped a case off at my house on his way to the Ren Faire. You can't beat the amazing product and incredible service provided by Blindwood Ciders! I am a very, very happy customer and look forward to doing business with them in the future. Thank you!

I'm not a huge cider drinker, but was intrigued by the Ginger Peppercorn cider from Blindwood that was on the menu at Top Hatters Kitchen, also in San Leandro. Due to some funkiness in the ordering system and recent menu changes, I ended up with a bottle of the Honey Sage. I informed the server that I ordered the Ginger Peppercorn and at first she thought it was out, but then saw it was on draft. Both were a little on the dry side, which I enjoyed more than sweeter ciders I've tried in the past. The botanicals are subtle so not punching you in the face with ginger and peppercorn spice. Again, I liked this restraint. I'd definitely order a Blindwood cider, if I saw it on a menu in the future!
