warranty is verbal..nothing in writing or with receipt upon purchase that explains every 6 month check up or warranty in not valid. I have several diamond items and have never had a gem fall out..cheap jewelry store..go shop somewhere else.

Update 06/01/21: Kay Jewelers has updated their system to send an email reminder for 6 month inspection. Very satisfied with this. We have not missed an inspection since, and it greatly improves their customer service. We are very happy with this change: Original Review: Overall, I am satisfied with my experience. However, there are improvements that could be made in customer service and the communication system. If you have a warranty, it is the customers responsibility to ensure inspection every 6 months, or the warranty is not valid. Kay Jewelers has this information in their computer system. However, it will not notify you when you are due for inspection. Therefore, a warranty will expire, and you will have to pay for any and all repairs if out of warranty. Would be great if Kay improved their system to really take care of the customers and increase the value of customer service.

Disappointed with their customer service after purchase. They didn't know how to send my expensive wedding ring to me and insure it with UPS. I had to figure all the shipping out, pay for it and tell them how to do it.
