Very convenient, great staff, feel good helping save the lives of injured and ill people. Your donation of blood makes a difference.

All our donors are volunteers! Hospitals can only accept blood taken from volunteer donors. :)
In accordance with CDC guidelines, we are reinstating our mask policy for donors as of 8/3/21. As of 8/3/21 8/3/21, Versiti donors and staff must continue to wear a face-covering while in our facilities, except where medical conditions prevent them from wearing one. All Versiti donation locations will continue taking donor temperatures, practicing social distancing and closely adhere to FDA and CDC cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
Individuals must wait two days after the day of vaccination to donate blood or platelets.
Blood donation is safe. The donation process itself poses no risk of infecting a blood donor with coronavirus. Donating at centers or at organized blood drives is safe. Coronavirus is not currently known to infect patients through blood transfusions.
Employees and volunteers will continue to wear masks, per CDC and OSHA recommendations for staff in healthcare settings.
Versiti is pleased to announce the SARS CoV-2 antibody test will be performed on all donations as part of our standard testing. We will be conducting this test as we continue to fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with the help of our donors. The antibody test will be performed on all successful donations at every Versiti blood center and blood drive. This test will be done automatically on tubes that are collected as part of the donation, in addition to FDA mandated infectious disease testing for all blood donations Versiti already performs.
The FDA does not allow us to pay our volunteer donors to help protect and keep the blood supply safe. However, we do sometimes give incentives to our donors as a thank you for your time and donation. At the end of the day, helping save the lives of local patients is the greatest gift anyone could receive!
