Both my husband and I are local business owners. We have several auto loans as well as multiple personal checking, savings, business accounts, and youth savings accounts for our children that we will be closing tomorrow. Due to a management decision to charge us on our vehicle loans for a 1 minute lapse in insurance coverage. We started our policy on 11/11/2021 at 9:13am and immediately cancelled our other insurance. We'd been told there would be no lapse in coverage by having the old policy end on 11/11/2021 (11:59pm) and the new one beginning at 11/12/2021 at (12:00am). Apparently Community first is penalizing us, the customers, due to a 1 minute lapse that was not our fault. The bank originally charged $308 but then refunded $154 (only half) once they received the new policy info. The bank manager is refusing to refund the rest claiming the 1 minute lapse in coverage is considered a "1 day" lapse and should cost us $154! One day is 24 hours, not 1 minute!! You're losing valued customers that have never missed a single payment on either car loan. I'm beyond disappointed that this is how responsible customers are treated when we clearly did not lapse our insurance. Shame on this bank for their shady and unacceptable treatment to honest business owners!!!

Rita and Devin did a great job helping me with a vehicle refinance. It was a very smooth process and required 20 minutes of my time and a couple of phone calls. I really like Community First. Everyone, including the amazing manager, always treat me right. Cudos
