Beware - tick infested!! We pulled 50+ ticks off our dogs (lost count) still finding more hours later, I have never seen an infestation anything like this before, we will be avoiding this area like the plague. The gazebo was also infested with carpenter bees, so although the view was nice all you could hear was the loud drone of dozens of bees. But the ticks - never seen anything like it, horrible.

There's a lot to explore for a small park. Well, maybe larger for some.

Beautiful park. Lots to explore, a real variety of trails and great scenery. After two visits, I haven't come anywhere near exploring all of it.

Very peaceful and great place to take pictures. Much larger area than I previously thought. Several different trails. Some leading to overlook areas or picnic areas. There's benches in several areas as well. Lots of people there but because the area is so large we didn't run into a ton of people and it was always possible to socially distance. Dogs are allowed on leashes, I just wish more people would pick up after their dogs or at least not leave their poop bags on the ground. It was not pleasant to see a bunch of poop bags piled up at the entrance to the trails. Just shows the lack of respect for others and the environment, in my opinion. There are various species of birds. I was able to spot a Red Bellied Woodpecker, and identified a couple other birds. Lots of other scenes and things that would make good photographs. If you decide to go in the Spring, be sure to wear some sort of waterproof boot as there are some places that are very muddy. I made the mistake of wearing just sneakers and my feet were full of mud and soaked. Summertime is different when things are dried out. This is one of my favorite places to go in this area.
