Best state park for sports activities such as swimming, soccer, indoor sports like table tennis, badminton, chess and many more. You can do walks and follow trails and even walk your dog in this park. Family friendly and good for kids to swim and visit especially during summer.

Nice park that I've used for years for daily 3 mile dog walks. We begin at the Sawyer Hayes Center and walk through the various trails. Unfortunately mowing and trail upkeep continues to degrade. They don't let you camp. If you need a place that's close, Creasey Mahan allows camping. Pope Lick Park also has a campground, though I can't tell you how nice it is. If you want more information, I'd ask around on reddit.com/r/lousiville
Not that I've seen. There's plenty of open space, but it's not the type of place setup for RVs and things like that.
