Had an amazing time today with my co-workers at the park. We played games, enjoyed the gymnasium and even listened to music. There was a calm breeze that made the 90 degree temperature bearable. Enjoy a picture of my 2nd best friend Levi after winning the 3 legged race. - Cheers (only subtracted 1 star because a colleague was confronted after driving the wrong way down a 1-way pedestrian path.)

I mainly visit for softball tournaments, but have been there and walked the trails and been to the dog park. There are concessions available at the softball diamonds most nights and during tournaments. The grounds are well-kept for a state park. The bathrooms have been slightly improved over the last couple of years and as long as people respect them, they are clean and kept orderly. You will see wildlife when you visit the park. It is a big park with a ton of wooded areas along with open space for many different activities. It's a beautiful park and should be utilized by more people.

They are not. Not enough lifeguards.
Yes, as long as the track is dry, there isn't a scheduled event ongoing, all riders have a helmet, and the "track closed" sign is not posted. Thanks for asking! Have fun taking advantage of one of only six tracks in its class in the nation!
The pool wont open this season
Honestly, probably not. Too many challenges to overcome with a large community pool like ours. It was just refinished too! Big bummer, but in the name of public safety it will be hard to operate
For this weekend's cross country event on saturday, yes. Then only when the pool is open, it's open to pool guests
There is a court with a wall; court #6. One half of the wall has been removed and park staff are working to rehang it, but the other half is still up and functional. Thanks for asking
Ep tom sawyer state park does not offer camping. The closest state parks with camping are taylorsville lake (Spencer county) and general butler (carol county) thanks for asking
It's water straight from the tap. There is no water heater on the supply line. I'll look into the options, if there is a way to make it a little more comfortable for the little ones.
Here in Kentucky, we are extremely fortunate that there is no admission price to visit any of the 47 KY State Parks. Some of the parks' activities and programs have fees attached, such as swimming, gym programs, and facility rentals. We'll see you soon!

The park staff do not offer any softball summer camps, but you may wish to reach out to the operators of the softball complex at the park; Derby City Sports Club. the best way to find the most recent contact list for that group is to search their name online to find their website. Thanks for asking!

You can find a secluded area. Back by the archery, is usually calm.
There's a massive amount of trails you can go through and explore and open field to play fetch and other things. Great place to take you dog. Remember to keep them on a leash though👍
They stated in an earlier post that they plan to open in late May.
There are three shelter areas that you can rent. The prices vary by shelter and they are different for weekdays vs. weekends. The website has the exact prices.

Yep! 😊 There are actually two over at the state park area (dog park is a small section of the overall park that requires a membership to access, rest of park is free). One is the standard playground equipment for kids - slides, jungle gym, etc. There is also a fitness one with balance beams, horizontal bars for pull ups, etc.
It's $35 per calendar year for access to all the LDRA dog runs which pays for up keep and insurance.
The dog park is one small part of the overall park. None inside the dog park
Not at this park. Several stocked lakes fairly close by at Beckley Creek Park off Shelbyville Rd.
You can call them and ask.
His initials were EP, and Tom was his nickname.
If you Google the park they have a number you can call to clarify, but my church is done grill outs there and held graduation parties!
There is one across the street , open air
This is a great park
There's a sign by the main parking lot that says they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Otherwise, no worries!
I do not notice the species.
