Parking fee is $5 per vehicle. Not sure about donations.

Is there a parking fee of $5. Is this recent? I don't remember a sign or a box to collect fees.

There's always been a parking fee since the trail head opened. The property is owned by the American River Conservancy, who provides upkeep of the parking area and trail segment on ARC property.
