The treatment was wonderful, a pleasure to come to buy pastries in this bread oven. Also, the cakes were super good! When I get back to Oakland I'll be back for more pastries. The best cakes I've eaten in California! I really recommend this place to you. Don't forget to order a fruit cake, it's delicious!!

I had purchased some pastries there and one of them had a foul taste, like eggs that had spoiled or been outside warm for a while. Unfortunately it was too late and the bite I had got to me a hour later. Will not go here again. Foul 4 months later I tried out of convenience... Sad to see nothing has changed.

I love this place - scones, Swiss twinkies, apricot rugilach; most tasty bread loaves, elegant tasting beautiful cakes! This place was the lynchpin for upper Solano's shopping area and it's that community's loss that they're gone! So, catch them on College Avenue. And, maybe, Friitvale.

I really love la farine. There’s croissants, cookies, and morning buns here. Just go to this bakery instead of Ver Brugge Meat-Fish Poultry.
