Great loop trail with amazing views! self parking $5 fee with nice big lot to park, loop is fairly well marked going up (counter clockwise) but not so well coming down. No real shade is probably the only complaint as you quickly come out of the tree line and then it's little to no shade all the way up. But the views make up for it all! We'll be back again to this one in the fall

Really enjoyed the views on this hike It's actually 2 summits (one is called white face the other not sure). Difficulty: moderate to difficult At fiirst I thought it was a 2 mile loop actually more like 4-6 due to the elevation Not a pure hike there was some climbing involved, there was some straight rocks we had to climb up in a angle [make sure you bring good hiking shoes (omg the struggle is real for me being heavy set)] Actually left late to catch sunset, trail got super dark but below other hikers helped alot waiting for us. There are two main indicators that help hiking the trail, yellow marker and stone/summit markers. If you do go late make sure you bring a light and some bug spray (certain point there tons of bugs). You do need a pass to park or what is seemed but didn't seem like it was enforced. There are public restrooms at the beginning which was nice Really tempted to check out the river when we crossed

Amazing trail and views! We did this with another family and were able to do the whole loop together! A little bit of a stretch with young kids, but definitely a good challenge and worth it.

Awesome hike, especially to see the foliage! With regular cameras it is basically impossible to capture the beauty of the views! Takes about 4 hours, and if you manage to find a parking spot at the trailhead it is only $5!

Questions & Answers

About how many cars can fit in the lot? Is there a nearby spot to park if the lot is full. If I hike on Oct 12 and arrive by 9am, what are my chances of getting a spot? Any ideas?

I belive hou can easily find a parking. There is atleast 40 to 50 cars that can hold. You pay 5 dollars.
