This is not a camp ground, it is not safe for adults or children, the rules only apply to non regular campers, the owner is a foul mouthed, disrespectful, self serving, self opinionated, dishonest person. Customer service is non existent, even if you reserve in advance, you may not have a site, if you try and give a justifiable complaint, the owner turns it as if you are at fault, they lie, cheat, and then bad mouth anyone who dares to speak up. Please reconsider, and find plenty of amazing camp sites in NH, where your stay is not a total nightmare

We have been camping here for a week each summer for about 10 years. The location is great for hiking, fishing, and swimming. We usually get a site on the Mad River which is great for river access for our kids and dog. It is a rustic campground without any activities...but it has a nice pool and a great field for playing soccer, kickball, or lawn games. The bathrooms have free showers...but are all very outdated and can get pretty dirty when the campground is full. The owner is receptive to issues and tries to take care of them in a timely manner. Good campground if you know how to make your own fun or just want to relax by the river...not for someone looking for a resort filled with activities.

Well I guess I should have listen to the bad reviews about this place. Who ever wrote the review about the owners be jerks where one million percent correct. Upon our arrival at this campground, we came upon a ridiculous speed bump made of a metal pipe. This speed bump damaged my exhaust, now making my car sound like a loud Harley. After discussing this issue with the camp owners, they told me it was my fault because I didn't come to a complete stop before going over the speed bump. Too frustrated to discuss this any further we went to sent up camp. The next morning the owner decided to tell my 12 year old son it was my fault and I should have stopped. Who are they to talk about me to my child!!. Any way now we have to get the local authorities involved . As I stood waiting for the local authorities I sat and listen to the scum talk about us to every camper that would listen. I also witnessed 3 other vehicles exit without coming to a stop, and was told the stop sign was only for entering. So why when I come in I have to stop completely, but when I leave it don't??? It's the same speed bump. After this ridiculous ordeal we decide just to continue with our day and have fun with our children. Packed and ready to go to the Waterpark, when now we are asked to leave the campground. This whole time the owners did nothing but TELL LIES and disrespect us. They are total scum bags and no one should ever camp there again. Their property damaged our vehicle and THEY REFUSED to take responsibility. AGAIN I URGE PEOPLE NEVER TO STAY AT GOOSE HOLLOW CAMPGROUND THE OWNERS ARE SCUM AND WILL SCREW YOU. The owner, George who offered to help at first, but then decided not to, and then put the blame on us must be a drunk like the other reviews stated. I wouldn't trust these people at all. I would also guess that all of the good reviews were written by them to make their campground look better. The only reason I am giving 1 star is I'm not allowed to give less than 1. I sincerely hope people will listen to this review and visit other campgrounds in the area that are so much nicer. Their website is also misleading. Happy camping somewhere other than Goose Hollow in Thornton NH

We stayed for three days and had a wonderful stay. Grounds are well kept, pool is clean people are friendly. Water pressure was great, electrical adequate. Best recommendation I could give would be that I would stay here again. We camped here in a 24 foot travel trailer. Agree with another on line review, sleeping with the sound of the running water was great.

Questions & Answers

Good morning, I have a tiny coleman popup and do a lot of dayhikes in the White Mtns. Some campgrounds offer a deal that if you camp for 2 weeks or more, you can store your camper over the winter for a small fee. Do you offer anything such as that?
