Still, generally speaking, the most current year revenue, profit, sellers discretionary earnings and/or other calculations, and trajectory are key. That, along with the last couple of years or more historical financials for comparison. The physical assets can be a significant component in some cases, as can other factors. Much of it depends on the specific business and what the seller is seeking as it relates to the sale price, value, etc. A number of factors come into play, depending on the transaction structure, of course.
