This was a return visit for me. Dr. Shapero and her staff are always polite and spend their time with you like you are a person and not just another number! I would recommend her with no reservations!

Dr. Shapero saw me right away when I broke a tooth. She is very gentle and caring. Her office staff is very nice, too.

I had insurance through my parents and when I became pregnant they didn’t want to help me. I was left to get my own insurance and considering no one would hire me, I didn’t not have good insurance coverage. Since I haven’t had the best insurance coverage I have been treated like a second class citizen, like I’m not good enough to be a patient with them. Furthermore, they are disorganized as I’ve called and updated my information twice (insurance, address, phone number) and no one changes my information. At my last cleaning informed them that i would be getting different insurance and they assured me that i would still be welcomed, however i was not treated nearly as nicely as I was with my parent fancy insurance. Recently, I chipped my filling during childbirth and I called to make an appointment—again correcting my information and requesting to see Dr.Shapiro. When I arrived, the receptionist was nothing short of rude. She was snobby because again no one had updated my information and she had been calling and leaving messages at my parents house (who do not speak to me, as I wanted to have my baby). She told me that they did not accept my insurance and there was nothing they could do for me. LUCKILY, Bente remember me and told me she had no problem checking on my filling. There was not a lot she could besides check to make sure my tooth was okay, but it was nice to not be treated like scum for not having the best of the best insurance. Even if I had better insurance, I still wouldn’t go here because I am still a human being who doesn’t deserve snobby service.

What are the primary benefits of Invisalign?

Invisalign aligners are clear, making Invisalign a seamless fit with your lifestyle and day-to-day interactions with others. Invisalign aligners are also removable. Unlike braces, you have the flexibility to eat and drink what you want during treatment simply by removing the aligners when you eat. You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would for fresh breath and good oral hygiene. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign treatment does not use metal brackets or wires that could cause irritation to your mouth. In addition, you'll spend less time in the doctor's chair and scheduling appointments, and more time out doing the things you love. Lastly, Invisalign’s technology allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you start your treatment, so that you can preview how your straight teeth will look once your treatment is complete.

The Invisalign system is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and achieve the smile you've always wanted. Invisalign uses advanced 3D computer imaging technology to depict your complete treatment plan, from the initial position of your teeth to the final desired position. Then, a series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth — and your teeth only — to move them little by little. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks before being replaced by the next in the series until the final position of your teeth is achieved. Your Invisalign treatment time will be determined by your doctor based on your specific needs.

Continue your day-to-day activities while still straightening your teeth. -Be yourself with Invisalign aligners. Since they are clear, you don't have to hide your smile while going through treatment. -With Invisalign treatment, it's easy to make your smile picture perfect for that special occasion. -Invisalign appointments work with your schedule. Most visits are in and out, with a quick progress check once every six weeks.

Visiting the dentist regularly will not only help keep your teeth and mouth healthy, but will also help keep the rest of your body healthy. Dental care is important because it: -Helps prevent tooth decay -Protects against periodontal (gum) disease, which can lead to tooth and bone loss -Prevents bad breath - brushing, flossing, and seeing the dentist regularly will help reduce the amount of bad-breath causing bacteria in your mouth. -Gives you a more attractive smile and increases your self-confidence -Helps keep teeth looking bright by preventing them from becoming stained by food, drinks, and tobacco. -Strengthens your teeth so that you can enjoy healthy, beautiful smiles for the rest of your life!

How often should I see the dentist?

Dr. Suzanne Shapero DMD | Sep 24, 2020

Children, teens, and adults should all see the dentist for a regular checkup at least once every six months. Patients who are at a greater risk for oral cancer or gum disease may be required to see the dentist more than just twice a year. You doctor will help determine how often you should visit the dentist for regular checkups.
