When to bid in an online auction is a personal decision. Some online auction bidders prefer to place their max bid right away, while other bidders prefer to bid incrementally as the online auction is beginning to close. Both methods have advantages and disadvantages. If you are bidding on many lots in the same online auction, it may be very difficult to keep track of your bids in real time as the online auction closes. Utilizing the max bid feature will be very helpful. No one will know your max bid. The system will bid for you up to your max bid amount, but only if someone bids up to or over your max bid. For example, if your max bid is $100 and the bidding ends with you having the high bid at $55, you will be the winning bidder at the $55.
There are no fees to bid in our online auctions. Charges are only incurred if you are the winning bidder. All online auctions are subject to a buyer's premium, which will be outlined in the terms & conditions of the online auction.
Online auctions with Mayo Auction and Realty are not like auctions on eBay. They are authentic online bidding experiences where the auction doesn't end when active bidding is taking place in the final minutes of the auction. This allows you to truly bid your price on real estate as well as items in estate sales, business liquidations and consignment auctions. When you bid in a Mayo online auction, you are able to physically inspect the auction items during a scheduled preview time. If you are located outside of the area where the online auction is being conducted, you can bid with confidence by previewing the detailed item descriptions, photos and video in the online auction catalog. In some instances, shipping can be provided on your online auction purchases.
Good morning Ron, The first step is to create an account on our website: https://www.auctionbymayo.com laccount/create Step two is to print out the registration form for the real estate auction and send it in via email or fax. The form is located on the auction info page for each property. Once these two steps are compete, we will approve you to bid. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at 816.361.2600. Thank you,
