Pleasure to see this facility is clean and well maintainted. Director is knowledgeable and has a passion for the welfare of animals. I applied to be a volunteer and hope I'll be called upon.

I absolutely love this place! They take such great care of the animals! The adoption package comes with the animal being spayed or neutered, micro chipped, flea treated, and more! Couldn’t be more happy with the ladies at the Wyoming county spca! Thank you for helping me find my new kiddy!

Questions & Answers

what %goes to animals??

Not sure % but spca is run almost entirely by volunteers and its a no kill shelter so they always need donations and I'm guessing its a high % that goes to the animals. They take money, supplies or you can put recycling in their paper bins outside. Everything is used for the up keep of the animals and shelter.

I have a question! Would I have to wear a mask when I go there to look at a dog or cat???

Masks are not required, thank you.

We see that the paper dumpsters are still at your location. Can we put papers in them, or are you still trying to have them removed?

We are still trying to get them removed. The company has not been very responsive to our request.

Won't the 2 kittens freeze on the porch? Someone has to rescue them legally. Where are they located? I will help if possible.

They could. There are signs all over the entrance that it's illegal to leave animals there unattended. There are cameras so they can get info to prosecute. The place on Rte 98 just south of Clinton St outside Attica.

I have been fostering a kitten along with my friend who is fostering 2 kittens, we have been in contact with the shelter in Batavia, they won't take them until they are 3 lbs or 12 weeks.

What is your question? Will Wyoming SPCA take them? Are they motherless? We are loaded right now with kittens from a hoarding situation. But, possibly. Call Sat am between 9 and noon. Talk to Melissa.

Are you looking for a vet tech? Was at ecspca 19yrs. Rather work in a shelter than animal hospital.

I'm so sorry I'm just answering this. We have a vet tech but I would call the shelter and inquire anyway. You never know. We have one one night a week, not sure if they need more assistance. Call the office and inquire just in case. Hope this helps.

Who would you call for two kittens in a cage on a porch that no one pays attention for days at a time?

I would call the SPCA office and speak to the shelter manager Jennifer. She can lead you in the right direction.
