In the Winter locked gates no matter the day or time I visit. Drove some ways to visit to be locked out twice. Hours on official odessa city pg do not mention lockouts. Was there on a Sunday around 1:30pm and gates were locked. In May it's open but not mowed thus ticks will hitch a ride home. Some garbage lying around, but not too bad

Questions & Answers

Is public allowed for walking a dog or a little hike? Everytime I visit both gates are closed before and well after 1pm. Visiting odessa temporarily from out of state. I will call the city on monday.

The only gate that they will open is the west side. If it's still locked at 1 pm call and they can unlock it.

Do gates open in November or in the wintertime?

They open at 1 pm. Closed in the mornings for waterfowl hunting. Hunting is only allowed through a draw system prior to the hunting season.

Are you trying to go through the front of the reservoir or the back side if you are going to the back side you go down oo
