Extremely compassionate staff, convenient scheduling, transparency with billing, thorough with care... I highly recommend this location! My family has been going to Shawnee Banfield for about 9 years and during that time, they've seen my extended family's 3 cats and 2 dogs. I recently had to put a cat down, and both Dr. Long and Kelsey were phenomenal with their approach. They were compassionate about my feelings and the situation in general, but also realistic in the financial aspect and overall quality of life of my cat. Kelsey even played with my toddler while I spoke with Dr. Long to discuss options - what a lifesaver!! THANK YOU again.

My dog was seen over a week and a half ago for a cough/mucus trouble. He still has a cough and mucus even after taking his antibiotics. I call to make an emergency appointment and it was considered a drop off after being turned away earlier in the day. The appointment was last min and I called to say I was going to be a few min after due to traffic. After 30 min on the phone when I could have already been there, I was turned away. For the amount I pay for insurance, it’s crazy to me that I wasn’t given any sympathy for having to return in such a short time frame. The staff essentially wasted my time by giving me the run around when I could have just showed up a few min after when they make you wait anyway. Pulling my insurance and will be going elsewhere.

My cat recently suffered a severe health crisis. During his recovery he required medicating twice a day. Having my own health issues, I was unable to give him his pills. But Banfield Was Able To ! For just $7 a day, the kind, capable staff at Banfield gave him the medication he needed to make a full recovery. Because if these Wonderful people, my cat us healthy and happy once again !

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
You'll get all the benefits listed below plus the requirement to pay your premium for, in my case, six months after your pet is gone.
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
