I'm personally not Dr bergman, I would call his office and talk to his staff directly to answer your questions.His staff are wonderful too.
You should see Dr. Bergman and ask his opinion, but this can not be done over internet. It's like asking someone to give you a haircut over the phone. Doctor needs to see your knees and xrays to diagnose your condition. Ultimately, you are the one that has to decide what's best for you. I hope this helps.
