Gave 5 stars, but needs to be more!!! My mother needs to use a wheelchair for distances and they provided a wheelchair and a ride into mine to a certain spot. We were then able to push her to the other area in the mine with our group. They brought us out as well. The both of our guides made sure to include my mom as if she was the most important person in the group. This made her feel amazing!! (I have forgotten their names but they were our guide on July 3rd at 11:15) If anyone happens to need these kinds of services. We went the day before as they need a 24 hr notice. Thank you guys again. I highly recommend the trip. Dress warm it's chilly !! Thanx again guys you are the BEST!!!! You made an older lady very happy!

We were looking for an afternoon to-do to kill time and decided to check out the Quincy Mine. What started as curiosity about the “stuff on the hill” turned into a 2 1/2-3 hour tour full of interesting history and examples. Our tour guide knew the answer to every question and was very enthusiastic about the organization and history. Only regret is not taking more time to check out the other buildings. Really important history that outlines the rest of your experience and destinations in the Keweenaw.

They offer different levels of tours that range from guided and paid to self guided and free. We opted to show ourselves around by following the map in the brochure. Such a fun and unique display of history.

I would recommend calling and making reservations just to make sure your party has availability
I didn't hear anything about those during the tour, but the gift shop has lots of books of historical things, so perhaps they sell a book that includes that. You might have to just call and ask.
They do! In fact, it's nice and warm inside the mine by comparison to the outdoor temperatures. Be aware that snow may limit your ability to see some of the self-tour parts of the area.
Mike. This depends on how much history of the UP youd like to take in. The full tour is about 1.5 hours though. Well worth it!
