Mom and Dad were due to move to Bruceville Point on opening day in June, 2021. But Dad became ill and passed away just 5 days before the scheduled move. Mom had to go by herself and lost her husband and her home all in the same week. As I live out of state, I have been very concerned about my parents and now would have to leave her alone when I returned home. I had NOTHING to worry about. From the day we came in to sign papers, my Mom was treated like royalty. The care, compassion, sympathy, and love she was give by every single staff person we encountered was amazing. "The Point" as we call it in my family, is tantamount to a cruise ship in its décor and amenities. The gardens are beautiful, the apartments are bright and spacious, and the activities are fun and inviting. But it is the people that make "The Point" so special. From the first tour with Cynthia, to Eric, the executive director, to the care staff, and everyone in between...I wish I could list all the names. Tina Taylor help with assessments and setting up Mom's care plan was so helpful. She knows her stuff and makes certain that both Mom and I are aware of any changes or updates that need to be made. The care staff is gentle and caring with Mom. They treat her with dignity and respect; they never talk down to her or let her feel like a burden. The receptionist and office staff have become her friends. "The Tina's" have gone above and beyond in helping Mom navigate all of the business required following Dad's passing; getting pensions, insurances, and all these pesky details worked out. I cannot give enough positive accolades to "The Point". Mom has been there almost 5 months now and she is thriving. She has lots of new friends, people that check on her daily, and help whenever she needs anything; from having her morning coffee ready when she arrives in the Bistro to tailoring a strengthening program that works with her arthritis. Mom feels very safe and very loved. In mid-August, Mom and Dad would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Mom anticipated a very sad day and told me she would be "hiding out" in her apartment all day. She called me late afternoon and was very emotional...because of the outpouring of love and attention from the staff and other residents...flowers, cards, visits, and hugs. She told me EVERYONE had come by to see her and she knew, without a doubt, that she was in the best place possible for her and she loved her new home. I love that she is so happy and I am so grateful to know that help - should she need it - is just a push button or pull cord away. It gives me great comfort. Thank you and God's blessings to everyone at Bruceville Point. PS - I want to move in too!

My father chose to give Bruceville Point a three-month "trial run", after we lost my mom in May 2021. I'm delighted to say that it has been one of the best decisions he could have made. Dad has a lovely, two-bedroom apartment with full kitchen and in-unit laundry, and is living safely yet independently, at nearly 94. He has made wonderful new friends, not the least of whom are among the caring, personable staff - they are fabulous! The community is beautiful, with multiple dining options, gardening, bocce, a fitness center, a salon, a movie theater, and more. It's so nice that my 29 year-old son inquired about moving in... lol! There are regular activities to keep residents engaged, both on-site and off, exploring all our area has to offer. Needless to say, Dad's "trial run" has become his home and I am so pleased. He is happy and we have peace of mind about his health and safety; that's a win-win. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bruceville Point to any senior(s) looking for a new place to call home.

I am a resident of Bruceville Point, so am speaking first hand. I am absolutely thrilled with my new home!!!! The first time I entered I was extremely impressed with the elegance and warmth of not only the staff but the residents as well.. Several came up to me to introduce themselves and to rave about their experience. The food is the #1 topic here- and with good reason!!! I liken it to a 5-star restaurant. One can be entertained almost constantly with activities- games, exercise, trips to various stores, special trips (the zoo, Apple Hill), and freshly baked cookies at 3:00. Another thing I greatly appreciate is a rides to the doctor. and MOVIES 6 nights a week in the theatre. The rooms are spacious with plenty of light includes a full and modern kitchen. Come and experience Bruceville Point for yourself or for a loved one. You surely won't be disappointed.
