This was a really neat place, and done by her niece. I was more interested in the home and furnishings etc than the many photos of her career. It was $5 a piece and her niece walked us through the place giving us some stories, mostly about other family members and people who visited. It was fun and worth the stop to me, but not to my boyfriend, Gary.

Not only is it Loretta's childhood home. But the tour was given by her niece. The family history and all the information was amazing! We visited the store as well. The museum was not open π

It was amazing. Herma was an absolute delight. She adds to the experience and history of their family. The history of Eastern Ky makes me glad its my home. It was a beautiful cabin.

We got lucky when we arrived and there were people there showing the house. The man who showed us was very friendly and informative, after we toured the home we went down the road to the store, they had souvenirs and stuff there. The house was in original condition and had lots of cool things inside, the only thing I didn't like was all the writing on the ceilings and walls.

We were there yesterday (7/2) and it's fenced and gated. But you can still get pictures of the outside.
Her cousin, Mack, he's very knowledgeable
The house is not open at this time. The store there is. Call before you go as things are starting to open and that might also
9-5 everyday as long as weather is good. $5.00 donation per person.
It's still closed to tours of the inside of the homestead but you can still drive by and go into the family store.
It's not open because of covit, but you can drive by about 200 yards from the roadway
Usually it's $5 per person except for small children they're usually free but it is not open right now. Because of the virus
No house tours. The road to the house is a single lane. Very treacherous trying to get in and out if you meet another car since the driveway is gated. It's a dead end so you have no choice but to go back the way you came. I can't remember exactly how far the house is from the store but it may be worth walking.
I was there Saturday, the house is closed but the old store was open
No but can take picture of house from a distance
Yes you can go into it open on weekends only far as I still know went on vacation 2years ago
We went on Sunday. We were shocked that someone was there giving tours. We thought we would just drive by but got a full on tour.
Don't know, u may have to Google it. Or call the Webb store down there.
I believe it is still in the family. I want to say her cousin.
Yes I Visited on a Sunday, If no one is up at the house, Stop at the little store before going up the hill an let him know you wanna visit
You can stop by the Webb General store and see if anyone is around if noone is at the homestead
Yes
$5. If no one is at Webb's, go to the homeplace. Someone is usually there.
We called Webbs Grocery store and made an appointment. 606-789-3397.
Not open Sunday
I think they have guided tours. Not sure of the schedule. You can go on Butcher Holler road and view the house.
Without knowing exactly where in ohio your coming from. You will have to search it up on your maps. Im sorry i couldn't help you more. Prestonsburg ky is the closest big town near it tho. Good luck. Its well worth the drive.
I don't know about the little store but you can drive to where she lived any time. It is not a commercialized place and it was kinda hard to find. No signs about it any place except a small rock had been painted on where you turn to go to her home place. No phone service at all. I was very disappointed.
Yes you just show up at the store or if no one is at the store just go on up because there probably up there, and it costs 5 dollar's to go through the house
