It would be very difficult to bike it. There is no real road just packed sand. But you can slide down the sand and walk them and they won't burn your feet. Bring lots and lots of water, sunscreen, and glasses.
You need a reservation and you need to be self contained. Good Luck getting your reservation....they only allow a certain amount of campers per day. That's including day visits too.
They are allowing overnight camping, but you have to make reservations weeks to months in advance (no last minute trip). The info is on the overview page with the link & info to reserve.
Yes, most of em don't bite because they don't have teeth!
If you are driving, and want to bring your vehicle into the area (which most people do,) you will have to purchase a parking pass. There is no charge, however, if you are just walking in off the street.

Yes absolutely there are plenty of dunes in walking distance of the entrance
Yes we went hiking in the monarch event you will get a good hike there and you get to see the ocean view
So Bummed we couldn't drive on the beach 🏖️ from 10-5-2020 thru 10-11-2020 because they are closed, but you can walk down to the beach.
The beach is open but cars and ATV's aren't allowed on the beach. People usually leave their cars at the pier and grand parking lots and hangout around the beaches there.
Yes. It's $10. They allowed 1000 permits a night. Call the ranger station to get a reservation. Weekends sell out
There are a few bathrooms within the campground, I suggest camping close to one so it's within walking distance, or you can just drive there too. The map they give you shows you where all the bathrooms are.
U can use any spot beyond the day use area but i recommend setting up outside the rec. Area of the dunes.due to traffic of quads in and around your campsite.. Also prepare for extreme winds around 5 to 7 daily..it can get pretty dang windy out there so pack accordingly.
Lest then a block u can even walk it
Not sure about any overnight options right on the beach. They have day rates like any state park. There are lots of private camping spots I beleieve.
Its $10.00 to camp on beach. $5.00 daily vehicle pass $50.00 yr vehicle daily pass
I've seen wood burning fires and charcoal bbq's in use there.
Smarter to buy an annual pass. I thonk it pays for itself after 2 tries. DONT FORGET to let air out of your tires BEFORE entering the sand area.
