Unresponsive project managers. Poorly measured windows. Vanity covers used everywhere to cover the lack of proper measurements! Installation with over 1/4 inch caulk beads everywhere. I have a huge ant problem now where they are coming in from a huge “caulked” jamb. We waited months for windows then when scheduled they didn’t have all the material - it’s been coming in gradually. No door hardware. They damaged baseboard and casements that are no longer milled for replacement. We paid a premium replacing all our windows and doors expecting a turn key project and it’s a never ending job.

I called SIW to fix a locking mechanism malfunction. Noelia answered the phone and was kind and assured me that my problem would be taken care of, considering that I couldn’t secure my door and my home. The techs, Ivan and Bryan came out that same day and installed another locking mechanism and viola, my problem was solved. They were professional and kind and I’m grateful to all who helped. A+ customer service!

Every company is different, I know the quality on SIW products is one of the best vs similar companies, especially on the finish, its powder-coated so it will look great at last for about 20-25 years with good maintenance. Leaks: depending who the installer is.( you dont see too much issues with this) Glass: it does its work. And remember is glass: if something hits it it will crack BUT not shattered so you will still be protected. Those the 3 more important facts on this type of products. Give them a call. Hope its helpful.
Warranty is typically not transferable to the new homeowner. But we have had people etch their doors without any concerns...
