I was amazed at how big the restaurant was. Unfortunately they seemed short staffed and waitresses had to run all around. Ours was still very attentive. I shared a sampler with friends and everything was very good but nothing stood out as amazing. I liked how they put their own spin on the Mac and cheese and cornbread; both were different from what I am used to. The main BBQ meats were average.

Dinosaur is one of the best BBQ spots out there with amazing food and service. The staff is super friendly and always fast. The pull pork is my favorite and it’s right in the water so great views too!

They make some darn good smoked BBQ and tasty sides at Dinosaur BBQ! Our first visit to Troy and we're glad we stopped into Dinosaur BBQ for lunch. They apparently do a great lunch business on the weekends as there was a 20-30 minute wait. We happily found seats at the far end of the bar for immediate seating. The bartender/server was extremely pleasant and helpful pointing us to some of her favorites and providing feedback from other customers. We opted for Prime Brisket sandwiches with Spicy Cucumber Salad and BBQ Fried Rice as our sides. I noticed many other customers were carrying out to-go boxes and I could see why when we got our food. Portions are large! The brisket is a great sandwich topped with pickled onions & Jalapeños, and the house sauce. The cucumber salad was delicious and had a tangy bite. The rice was good too but I'd probably try the mac and cheese. The folks next to us got the Creole Deviled Eggs. They seem pricey but they are loaded up and looked awesome. They seemed to enjoy them. Dinosaur has a creative menu and friendly staff which at the time (Jan 29) all wore masks. Located riverside, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and looks to have an awesome outdoor seating area when the weather permits.

What's not to love about dinosaur BBQ? For our first time going. It was great. Food was quick and delicious and we can't wait to go back weirdly enough. I didn't get a picture of the food but the outside was pretty lol

Thanks James for that answer as I had no idea. I don't live in New York any longer but when I'm up visiting my son we go there as it is absolutely fantastic.
I'm not sure why you cant get them delivered. But they di have them and we ordered then as a appetizers when we were there and they were very good. Did you call to find out?

Yes but only for the outside seating. They even brought me a small bowl of water and a dog biscuit for my dog. 👍

Wood floors were well-oiled, bathrooms were clean as you could get for rush hour and the food/plates were nice and clean also.
