I went to shade tree to get maintenance done on my BMW before a long distance move. They worked seamlessly with my warranty and me. Even allowed me to use a loaner. They were in constant contact with me and the insurance. 1 small hiccup but, with a simple call from over 1900 miles away and the problem was resolved. If i am ever back in utah and need mechanical help best know i will use shade tree. As a woman, a domestic violence survivor and a veteran they went way above and beyond for me. Many thanks to the whole team. Plus the yummy cookies when i finally picked up my baby was wonderful.

At Shadetree you will receive a written estimate and a phone call to go over work that is needed. You can approve or deny anything on the list. And most likely you'll have an enjoyable conversation. Russ and I laughed and joked through the process and he was honest about what was a priority and what could wait until later. My experience with Shadetree was amazing. Lisa at the front desk is so friendly and helpful. When I called to find out how things were going I was immediately transferred to Russ, who knew what was going on and was able to explain things very well. I finished up my customer service experience with Brian, who was also friendly, helpful and had a sense of humor as we laughed through the final phone call. I was able to use a loaner vehicle while my car was in the shop. When I picked up my van there were cookies on the console. The cookies were nice but the exceptional customer service is the real drawing power of Shadetree.

I missed the mark by but checking the transition fluid myself, so that plays as factor in my questioning of Shade Tree Automotive. I was having intermittent power issues with my car, and the check engine light came on. I had the code looked up at the parts store, but then took it to Shade tree automotive to get it looked at more closely. It said there was a hydraulic issue with the transmission. In their assessment, they said the transmission fluid was dark and smelled like burnt plastic. They recommended replacing the transmission. I took it for a second opinion, and again didn't look at the transmission fluid level. I had asked if there was anything that need to be done to make sure my car was okay to take to a different place to get another opinion. After dropping it off at the second place, the second place called me. They said that the transmission fluid was so low that it would not register on the dipstick. They questioned whether the first place, shade tree automotive, really retrieve the sample of fluid from my car. Either that or they siphoned out a bunch of fluid and didn't replace it before I left their place. Now I'm stuck in the middle. Trying to figure out what happened. However, topping off the fluid seems to have fixed the intermittent power issue that I've been having, and that solution has come from the second shop, not Shade Tree Automotive. Shade tree has no clue what the transmission fluid level was when I brought it in, because they did not record that. Who do you trust? I'm still testing out my transmission with full fluids to make sure I'm not going to have another issue. But I do question the diagnosis I had at Shade tree automotive. I did call them, and they assured me they got a sample from my car, but they can't tell me how they got the sample or how full the transmission fluid was when it came in. The jury is still out on both places.

Shadetree was awesome! They gave me a loaner car to use and had the entire vehicle completed in under 48 hours, which is mind-blowing. I really liked the full diagnostic report.
