Ate here back last November & it was quite good. They did say at that point that they were planning on closing and converting to a different operation. Well lo and behold they reopened this spring with an updated menu. They still have the prefix menu or a la carte whichever you choose, with a few updates. I had the onion soup which was a $7 up charge. Richard had a side salad and Sharon had the fruit salad which she thought was excellent. I mentioned this back last year that they need to do something about that onion soup to make it worth that extra price. They need to use a veal bone stock. This will give it the extra flavor otherwise it just feels like an onion soup that was whipped up fast rather than slow cooked all day. It was okay but it could have been outstanding. For our main courses Sharon had the Pork Marsala. Fortunately the port was a little bit tough and rather dry cuz it's sliced quite thin to make a marsala out of it. Much better doing it as a schnitzel. Richard had the duck what you thought was okay but being Chinese he and his sister are real picky when it comes to ducks. I had the Filet Mignon dinner. The sides decent. The Filet Mignon was perfectly cooked. Here is where they really fell down though. There is no sauce served with the meat. It could have been served Au poive, a nice mushroom demi-glace. Bernie's sauce. Any one of those. Basically it has just been seared with a little salt and pepper and that was it. Could have been a stellar outstanding meal but it was mediocre because of one simple item missing and that was a good quality sauce. Richard and I are both in the food industry and they're very familiar on how to properly do up a steak of this quality it has to have a good sauce. For dessert we had the limoncello cake which was not made in house. Many restaurants outsource their desserts. Fine so it didn't bother us. We will come back and I'm going to have that onion soup again and probably the Filet Mignon. Hoping that you will take my advice and make those two improvements it could vastly improve the reviews that you could be getting.

We took my mother in law for Mother’s Day lunch. It’s an awesome place - beautiful surroundings, friendly service and great food. The set menu has something for everyone. Will deffo be back.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner at Mile Away. Each of our meals was prepared to perfection and the escargot was the best I've ever eaten. Our waitress Alex was also very gracious and made us feel like family. …

I wanted to take my mother to a 4 course dinner. We chose to go here despite it being an hour away due to the high reviews. The place is absolutely beautifully located and adorable. However, the food was mediocre at best. There is a wide …
