I'm a regular shopper at this location and today I was extremely disappointed at the male cashier. A previous customer came in and in Spanish asked the cashier where he could leave a small bag of something he had just bought from the same store. The cashier immediately started saying "I don't understand you, I don't understand you!" I jumped in because I'm bilingual and said " he's asking where he can leave the bag because he doesn't want you to think he's stealing" cashier replied " he can't leave it here (register)". I let the customer know to go ahead because he couldn't leave it there and the customer walked away into the store. Then the cashier proceeded to say, " He's in the United States and doesn't speak English, how am I supposed to understand him" to which I replied, "that's why, I stepped in, to help out" he went on about if you're in this country you should speak English. And how there's a bunch of these people coming to this country. My blood ran cold and I left all that I was about to purchase and let him know I will no longer be shopping there as that was one of the most racist things I've heard. He looked shocked smh. So you're mad he doesn't speak English but you don't mind him spending HIS money at your store???!!!! Shame, we need to do better. Especially since dollar tree has a ton not Latinos working in their store.
