Here’s the thing about parking overnight at a weigh station- Yes, you MIGHT be bothered by them in the morning (I never have) BUT you will probably not be bothered by anyone else. Personally, I accept that trade off. Some states have surprise inspections in the morning at their rest areas so what are you going to do? Avoid all of the rest areas? Good free parking is hard to find. Besides- no one is going to take your hood off or back into you over here! It is cleaner&safer than any truckstop nearby... ESPECIALLY the T/A (see picture). So- Go Weigh Stations of America! If you can’t handle an inspection you probably shouldn’t be driving a big truck anyway...

Have all your paperwork ready and don't go in with an attitude and you won't have a problem, it's that easy! Make them laugh, it can really help, especially if they have been dealing with idiots all day...
