There is new ownership. They raised my space rent, which isn't a huge surprise....but at the same time, decided to do major renovations to the property. The old doors are piled up in front of my unit's lane so it's inaccessible to a truck. There is, and has been street construction and it's a freaking mess! They clearly didn't think this through. They should have waited to raise the rent until AFTER their renovations were completed! I have not been able to get into my unit this entire month! I shouldn't have to pay for a unit I can't access. I called to complain and was told that they (the local office staff) were not allowed to give me the number of the upper management. But I was assured my concerns would be passed along and I would be receiving a call back.....that was 4 days ago. UGH!

Place is shutting down to rebuild, and they never even contacted me to let me know to get my things out of my unit. Instead my brother had to let me know one week before the deadline to vacate, which resulted in a horrible scramble and a loss of alot of belongings. Never missed a payment in 3 years +

Well, after paying on time using automatic debit, we had 30 days notice to get out or go to a smaller unit. We weren't the only ones, the entire east side of units. No prorations. Very poor business integrity. Do.not.rent.here.

Update: although the transition to secure space wasn't seamless they did do a few things to help the situation. No late fee was charged in this case, I was given a direct phone number to the on site office so I don't have to deal with the call center again, and autopay is re-setup now. Like others have said the on-site dumpster is no longer available, but that isn't a big deal. As long as they don't start laying down short gate hours, restrictive policies, or rent hikes I can say this is still a good place to rent. I started renting here 6 years ago. They were great until a month ago when the storage center got bought out by secure space storage. They abruptly stopped using the auto pay said nothing and hit me with late rent charge. I have been on auto pay for 6 years! I tried to call them but it's a call center now and I keep getting disconnected. Furious.
