I stayed at the Holland Inn this week, it is a great hotel. The staff are wonderful, very helpful, courteous and kind. The building and rooms are clean and above expectations. I stayed in the king room which was more than worth the cost per night. There is places to eat and grab a drink with in walking distance. Taft is a small city about 30 miles outside of Bakersfield. Best comparison would be staying in Primm NV and driving into Las Vegas. There is a lot to do in and around Taft. I looked at other hotels in the area. Don't bother, the Holland Inn is truly the best place to stay.

Quiet. Room was clean. Decor is dated, but quaint. Definitely not ADA compliant. Large bathtub. No iron in room.

DO NOT ALLOW ANY FRIENDS OR FAMILY TO EVEN VISIT. This hotel owner banged on the door and blew up my phone because he thought I had a visitor at 6 am, he’s very disrespectful and couldn’t care if you’re comfortable and trying to sleep.

Very nice room that we got last minute during a long drive. I was very surprised at how nice and spacious the rooms were. Despite how remote the area of Taft feels, I would love to stay here again.
