This was year 5 for my family and I. We love to come here because it’s always a nice trip down the river. The surrounding area is beautiful and the boats are nice and well equipped with life vests, paddles and a dry box. This is a trip that can be enjoyed by all ages and never gets boring. The staff is ALWAYS smiling and friendly and will provide knowledge to all ranges of experience visitors. The company has great communication, including a great list of what to bring, what to expect and emails frequently in regards to water levels. They seem to take care of the customers very well.

Love the staff and trip! Well worth it. It’s our annual trip that we few girl friends take with our kids. So if a bunch of moms and kids can do it anyone can.

I came here with my girlfriends family they were welcoming the boats were well taken care of they explain what you should do and what you should not do when you’re rafting. They gave your life jackets and paddles it was easy to get in the boat. It’s like a five hour down the river ride there are some spots where you can stop and chill and get off the boat. The river was clean there was no trash. Once we got to the end they helped us pull the boat out of the river and there was an area where we would have to leave our vez our paddles and they had a bus there for us so it could take us back to our vehicle. We will definitely be going there again. I would recommend this to families with young kids because it’s not that crazy of a river i’m gonna say 80% of the time it’s super chill in that 20% you might go just a bit faster than chill even then it’s not that fast. Bring your kids it’s fun!!

We had such a great time with friends! It was a beautiful day and the river was just perfect. The company we rented the boats from was so kind and helpful and we really loved the pictures they took as we came down the river as a souvenir. We would definitely recommend this company and plan on going again.

Alcohol is NOT allowed at high flow. Flows will be high on the Stanislaus at least through the end of July of 2021. There are no alcohol restrictions below 1000CFS, but the river will be at 1500CFS in July, thus the alcohol ban.
Knights ferry is a Beautiful place just went twice this past weekend and water level is safe for kids but still make sure to stay safe with those life jackets 😉
This is something new I seen in there website No alcohol.
Yeah! You just have to call and make the change. The only caveat is that there has to be an opening on the day you want to change your reservation to. So the sooner you change it, the better.
This year the water is quite swift. In a normal year, summer flows are 200-500 cubic feet per second. This year the water is moving at 1500 cubic feet per second, so there is a lot more water moving through the Stanislaus River. Under normal conditions, this is a very slow moving, lazy river, but that is not the case this year.
Under normal conditions, swimming is not a requirement. In 2021, with flows being very high, swimming IS required. As long as flows stay at 1500CFS on the Stanislaus River, you do need to know how to swim to participate. If you aren't a good swimmer, always call in before you book a trip and chat with staff about whether the conditions are appropriate for people that cannot swim.
Sunshine does have weekday discounts from time to time. They are announced on Facebook, as well as via email newsletter!
I believe it 5 years old
Usually we bring cooler with food and drinks. It's about 4 to 5 hrs. If u go to their website, it will give you an idea.
Rafting season typically extends from the first weekend in May to the last weekend in September!
