Nation's Giant Hamburgers & Great Pies

My fries tasted like they were cooked in week old grease. I did not bother returning them, so I threw them in the trash. CHANGE THE COOKING OIL DAILY! Also, the presentation of my cheeseburger with bacon was not appealing and the bacon was difficult to chew. It's disappointing when you go to a restaurant hoping to have a great experience, but no avail. Restaurant owners/managers must start hiring real cooks and not those who are simply looking for a paycheck. A cook should have a passion for cooking because it shows up in the food. Lastly, the cashier must not handle food and money. That is disgusting. Needless to say, I will not visit this Nation's again.

3/15/22 Had takeout tonight. Used the buy one get one for one dollar coupon. That’s a fair deal for nations otherwise it would be overpriced. Really the only thing I order here’s breakfast. I tried other items and didn’t care for them. But the breakfasts are decent. I had two of the three egg breakfasts. One with a hamburger patty(1 1/2) and the other with bacon(6 pcs). Both with French toast instead of hashbrowns. Had their hashbrowns before, they weren’t good. Ordered the eggs over medium. They were cooked perfectly. The bacon crispy! And the French toast was decent. The French toast was sweet without putting any syrup on it so I just added butter. It was good! Bumping Nations up to three stars! I am not a fan of their pies. The cream pies were on sale tonight buy one get two free!! ———————————————- Update: I did go back and used a buy one get one for $1 coupon. I ordered two breakfasts. Average food…overpriced without the coupon. Exceptional employees. Very friendly and helpful. Their cream pies are terrible i.e. lemon meringue, chocolate cream. The fruit pies are a bit better. Sadly our town is hurting for places that serve good pie! **************** Two stars is the most that I can give this restaurant. The only reason I have gone here is to use the bogo coupon. Usually I have been sorry that I even did that. I would rather go to Jack in the Box or Wendy's! Their pies are terrible. They are the consistency of plastic. At least the lemon meringue that I had. I had to argue with the OWNER to get my money back! Never again! Cannot recommend Nations!

One of the better places to get a chicken sandwich or a burger, hearty portions. Also their desserts are top notch. I almost always walk out with a half pie.
