This is in reference to the rehab at the Woodlands. I am a private caregiver and I have to say it is the most disgusting rehab facility I have ever been in. The first day my patient was brought into her room I noticed there were feces all down the front of the toilet. The toilet seat was covered in drips of dried up urine, no soap in the bathroom, no paper towels and now being here 6 weeks nobody has ever cleaned the toilet or the bathroom, the same trash has been on the floor in the room and never has anybody come in to sweep or clean anything. I have been in many nursing homes and ALFs and rehabs and I have never seen anything as disgusting as this facility. The employees wear the badges backwards so you can't see their names and you don't know if they are RNs, LPNs or MedTechs. I have seen and heard things behind doors here that will haunt me for a long time.

I have no affiliation with JKV other then I see clients there. But I can tell you that everyone I have crossed paths with, from the staff to its residents are warm, friendly and helpful. I am sure if you call them you will be directed to the right department.

Is this a subsidizing living facility?

No this is a private senior community. You buy your apt and it can be renovated to your taste and style. Then you pay a monthly fee. You need to be able to move in and be self sufficient. I'm sure if you Google John Knox Village or go to their web site many questions can be answered for you.
