Love it. As someone said , it could use better seating , so you can look at the books, but I’ve always been able to find a place to sit. Wonderful books, and it’s one of the last great independent bookstores.

We love this book store, especially since my wife is an elementary school librarian and she finds new titles here. We travelled 40 minutes from our home to have dinner in Montpellier and left with enough time to stop here first because our 10 year old was really looking to find some new books and they have a great selection. We were met at the door at 4:45 and told they were closing because they had been slow all day. We couldn’t believe it. It was 4:45 and my wife asked the older woman, “We thought you closed at 6?” To which the lady replied about them being slow. We said that we had travelled far but she didn’t care and we were turned away. We are super disappointed and now not sure if we will return because they may close randomly before we get there and obviously will turn us away if they decide to close before posted hrs.

One of my go-to local bookstores to shop at, they have two floors at this location and on the second floor they have a pet tortoise! the staff is always friendly and willing to help.Veruca the Russian Tortoise loves visitors! Thanks for coming by!

Loved this bookshop! They have a wide selection of new books as well as a small but decent inventory of gently used books. The used books were generally priced in the 6.5-9 dollar range. There weren’t too many used books, but I did find some gems. I’ll be back for sure!
