Wilson County Animal Shelter isn't at all what most people have the misinformation about. They are hard working people that love animals more than most of anyone that think they're doing a neglected or lost pet a favor by not taking them to the shelter. I've spoken to many people that work there and I've been told depending on the employees time there that one has been there 20 years without putting one down unless they are too sick to save or they're not human friendly or unadoptable but they have all told me that even the ones that are too skittish for a human to hold or love on that it doesn't mean they're capable of loving their humans and they're just as happy living outside and even though we're all responsible for feeding our adopted pet's they still enjoy the thrill of the hunt for pest like snakes and mice so we all can be happy. The new shelter is beautiful and even though it's main funding come from the county or state they do accept donation according to 2 employees. Nothing can be opened already but they will accept food for all kinds of animals, cat litter toys pet food dishes. Doggie pads and anything you know an animal need to help adapt to the kindness of a human touch and most of all our love. Be good to your pet's and help support the Wilson County Animal Shelter.

I need to know the same. I'm being evicted and they are a mama and 2 babies. The mama showed up pregnant, hungry, thirsty, and skin and bones besides where you could see where she was pregnant. I feed her bc it was so hot, and I felt really bad for her especially so hot and pregnant and starving too. Well she had 2 kittens that I know of that she had under our trailer that were being evicted from Saturday. They come out now and are eating hard food. The mama will come to you and is extremely sweet but the 2 kittens will only let you get about 2 feet away while there eating but are skidish and I can't pick them up. I desperately need help. I've tried everything I can think of. I don't have any kind of crate or anything to catch them in when they are eating. I've got a rescue place that said they would come and get them either from the shelter as soon as they come get them or from me if I can catch them myself. These cats are about to be homeless and no one around that will continue to ta
You have to fill out a form and pay for the shots if the animal doesn't already have them
Highly unlikely as its a animal shelter not a pet store. Someone could have surrendered one but not likely. If you found your way to here then just give them a call and find out for sure.
Not usually. Best to call.
You will have to contact the office at 8am monday morning to get someone to awnser that question.
No they don't. You have to go there the animals can change from day to day.
Please try to re-home before sending to a KILL shelter!! Reach out to Lost and Found Dogs of Wilson Facebook page
I would only take 2 to 3 at a time. Rescues need time to find fosters for them.
None, take them in Money through Friday 8am-5pm
