We checked in about 3:20 and then relaxed on the patio. The birds came to greet us; 2 kinds of finches, robins, red-winged black birds, hawks across the road, and hummingbirds. Ordered a take out pie from Taconellis in Bessemer, enjoyed a bottle of wine we had brought with us, and it was all delicious! Our dog Gus was welcome and he had a great time too! Thank You for a great stay!

Stayed one night in an exterior loft room. Very well kept lodge and rooms. It does have a somewhat rustic theme, but very comfortable stay. Pool was closed at the time but looks great. No others staying when we did, presumably because it was right around everything reopening from covid19, and out of main season. Located near great hiking/biking and many scenic waterfalls. Not too far from great western UP musts - we went to lake of the clouds and up to Copper harbor later. Run by a friendly and knowledgeable couple - plenty of advice on local food and attractions. Stayed a night here after doing some rucking in the Porcupines. It was an "old school" lodge experience (warm service, great onsite amenities) in a modernized, clean lodge. Superb location to check out all the natural beauty that the Western U.P. has to offer.

Third time this year staying at our home away from home. The location is beautiful, the rooms are super cozy and clean. Over the summer we enjoyed the beach near by (a quick drive!) as well the lodge's indoor pool. Last fall and also recently, per Justin and Brittany's recommendation, we set up our telescope on the grounds of the lodge for the most breathtaking view of the sky. Dog friendly (we love you Copper!) and the owner's are so nice and fun to catch up with. Best place to stay in the area, we look forward to it every time!
