The food and service here are both super excellent! I always enjoy my meals here, regardless what I order to eat. I have never been unimpressed or disappointed. Being there with friends made it even better!

The buffet was overpriced. It was the weekend when we stopped by for lunch. The food quality was not good at all. Number of items was also less. Not satisfied at all, don’t wanna go back. Update: even though I promised not to eat here, I ordered again a biriyani for my lunch through Uber eats. The food came as usual. It was the worst biriyani in my life! A plate of shrimp biriyani - rather a red colored smelly rice with some overcooked shrimps in it. Shrimp sizes were decent. But the rice was colored and smelled like weird. There was no smell from any spices or a typical biriyani essence to it. It was something which o fail to describe it as a biriyani! P.S. I was born and raised in india. So I have enough knowledge of true Indian food and pretty much skilled in Indian cooking.

India Palace has been my go-to Indian restaurant for decades. The service might be the best of any restaurant in town. The food is always delicious. My favorite is the lamb meatball masala, but I've tried many other dishes and they never disappointed.

Confession. Returning to Memphis and leaving the vast number of ethnic restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area has been a major disappointment. Even the sub-par restaurants in the Bay Area exceed most of the restaurants in the area. We decided to visit India Palace because it was touted as the best Indian food in Memphis. If that is a true statement, I won't try another Indian restaurant. My favorite dish was the Basmati rice. Does that tell you something. The buffet was lackluster with just a few choices, mostly chicken in sauces. Staff was not welcoming, pointing to a table for us to seat. No samosas, tandoori chicken, anything extra for a variety of dishes. I realize that restaurants are experiencing challenges but this food did not work for me. Even the naan was bland. The buffet just seemed half-hearted. No return visit for us.

Maybe. I've picked up from there a few times, and there's people there. I doubt you need one.
